I took this shot July 25,2018, about 15 miles north of Manistique, MI at approximately 6:30 pm. What kind of formation is it?

I saw a cloud like that minutes before a tornado struck.

Shelf clouds usually occur with Thunderstorms and Thunderstorms can breed Tornadoes.
